Overview
Treasure Coast Drayage & Distribution
The Treasure Coast — Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties — sits at the northern edge of the South Florida port reach and the southern edge of the Space Coast. The freight profile is a blend of three things: agricultural inputs and outputs around the Indian River citrus belt and the sugar-and-vegetable corridor west of Stuart; marine industry equipment and product moving through the Stuart and Fort Pierce yacht and small-craft economy; and consumer goods, building materials, and hospitality F&B serving the residential growth of Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, and Hutchinson Island. The Port of Palm Beach is the closest deep-water gateway by far — roughly 20 to 50 minutes from most Treasure Coast receivers — and for any import where Palm Beach is a viable vessel call, it is almost always the right port to use.
Ritehaul has been running Port of Palm Beach since the day we expanded north of Broward, and it is the natural origination for Treasure Coast freight. From the Port of Palm Beach to Stuart is roughly 35 to 45 minutes; to Port St. Lucie 45 to 60 minutes; to Vero Beach an hour to an hour-fifteen. When a vessel string only calls Port Everglades, we run the I-95 lane north and add roughly 50 to 70 minutes versus the equivalent Palm Beach routing. For Port Miami originations, the math is harder — the I-95 transit is nearly two hours each way — and we will usually quote a transload at our Medley facility into 53-foot dry vans for the northbound run when the cost-per-skid math demands it. Dispatch is honest about the tradeoffs on every quote.
Equipment for Treasure Coast moves includes the standard South Florida fleet — 20-foot, 40-foot, and 45-foot ocean chassis, tri-axle overweight chassis, genset reefer chassis (Indian River citrus and Stuart-area F&B both pull reefer), and open-top and flat-rack chassis for marine equipment and oversized cargo. We deliver to Stuart, Hobe Sound, Jensen Beach, Port St. Lucie, Tradition, Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Indian River Shores, with reach into Okeechobee and the sugar belt west of Indiantown when freight makes sense to pair with our agriculture-corridor lanes. Every move is GPS-tracked end to end with digital proof-of-delivery the same day.
